SHOULD I BUY NOW?

2/23/2010

The short answer to that is that as long as you are buying and selling within the same marketplace you cannot lose, as long as your purchase follows very quickly after you have completed your sale. Should there be a gap between the two transactions, then you are in that position of possibly missing the market should prices start to increase, which ultimately they will. Perhaps the most interesting and difficult question to answer is should I buy now if I am in a cash fluid position or in rented accommodation? The short answer is, this is down to your personal judgement and personal circumstances of the individual property you are proposing it buy. But generally speaking, from experience, it has never paid to be out of the property market in the UK for a long period of time, and as such, my advice would be that as long as you buy shrewdly, take the correct professional advice when buying, then buy now and benefit from interest rates being as low as they are today.
